Lead Design Teams & Managing Projects
I lead a remote team of up to 8 designers across concurrent projects, and have run full end-to-end design operations as a solo designer.
Leading the team is a formal part of the job: one-to-ones, performance reviews, development plans for each team member, hiring and onboarding. I also care about team unity, with design critiques and informal coffee breaks that keep people connected and talking about the craft.
π
Design Systems
I build design systems from scratch and keep them alive: tokens, components, documentation and the governance around them. Maintaining and enriching a system as the product grows reduces design debt and lets designers and developers move faster without re-deciding the same patterns twice.
Today I create and maintain design systems for both people and AI agents to use.

Mentoring Fellow Designers
I mentor designers, reviewing portfolios and case studies and helping people grow into their first design roles.
I also guide workshops where designers practice new skills together and learn from each other's work.

User Testing
I plan and run user testing early to validate decisions before they reach production, rather than after launch.

Usability & Accessibility
I treat usability and accessibility as design requirements, not final-pass checks β auditing against real user behavior and the WCAG 2.2 AA standard, with an eye on WCAG 3.0.

Research
I pick the method that fits the question: qualitative one-on-one interviews, quantitative surveys, and field studies such as a full day observing a food-truck owner at work.
I turn the findings into empathy maps and personas that give the team one shared, evidence-based picture of the user.
